Garden wins big grant

The Mercer Community Garden has won a $6,000 grant from the Goegbic Range Health Foundation!  

We have not heard back on our Community Garden grant from the USDA, but with the significant Federal budget cuts, this may not be approved.

Now the hard part is to determine what our needs are, what project costs would be, and set priorities.   I have asked garden members to help form a planning committee, as this needs to be a well-represented group project with measurable outcomes.  The first step is to find a volunteer to coordinate this committee.   I hope that all of you will join this committee as MCG is our garden and we are planning for our future!
