Free rhubarb and asparagus

We have several new gardeners this year, so I would like to state the guidelines for harvesting the free goodies.   In return for occasionally picking weeds and watering the asparagus and rhubarb plots as you walk by them, each plot renter may harvest one meal per season.   The asparagus is ready to harvest now, and the rhubarb will be ready by Memorial Day.   Please harvest the asparagus before the stalks get too long, woody, and turn to seed.

Free Herbs

We also have a few volunteers who are going to be updating our herb garden. As soon as the herbs are ready for harvest, all gardeners are welcome to share the delightful fresh herbs.
